A respected figure in the numismatic community, Howell is an active member of the Waterloo Coin Society, Stratford Coin Club, London Numismatic Society, and Chatham Coin Club.
Alongside his wife Ruth, Bill has been a familiar presence on the Southwestern Ontario Show Circuit for 12 years as full-time dealers under the banner of B & R Coins and Paper Money.
Their last appearance was at the Windsor Coin Show on November 10th and the Windsor Coin Club celebrated their retirement with a cake and roses for Ruth.
